The Cottage

The front door opens into an enclosed porch and then through a Victorian style half-glazed door into the kitchen which is a good size and fully fitted with a fridge/freezer, electric oven with ceramic hob, washing machine, microwave and large farmhouse style table with 6 chairs all complimented by contemporary white laminate flooring, adding to the seaside ambience.

This room leads into a spacious and light through lounge with its oak style laminate floor and comfortable, chocolate brown leather sofas (3 seater pull-out sprung double sofa bed + 2 seater sofa), a Flat Screen TV/DVD/VCR with Freeview channels, cosy cast iron solid fuel burning stove (wood and coal) which heats the radiators if required, and hot water in the Winter months. (Booster installed for the hot water in the Summer.) For instant, cleaner heating there is a combination of storage and panel heaters. Large double glazed French doors lead on to the decking and out into the garden, giving views of the garden and pool. For additional entertainment and amusement, there is a sound system, compatible with MP3 and audio CDs, with radio and tape facility, board games, a glass chess set, jigsaws and a selection of CDs, DVDs and Videos, in addition to a variety of books provided in the lounge and the summerhouse.

The bedrooms and bathroom are off the lounge and consist of a main bedroom at the front of the cottage, which is cosy and has a double bed and plenty of storage, all in a New England style. There is also a corner shower cubicle and beech style laminate flooring. The second bedroom, at the side, has a nautical theme with whitewashed pine bunk beds with a pull-out trundle bed (for a younger child), matching wardrobe, chest of drawers and cabinet + beach-hut style freestanding cupboard with shelves. Laminate beech coloured flooring and a wooden blind.

The family bathroom, at the rear of the property, has a corner bath enclosed in wood panelling with seating and shower attachment, low flush wc and a deep pedestal hand basin – all in a Victorian style with nautical décor and a pebble effect vinyl floor.

When you’re not over the road at the beach, you can relax in the secluded, lawned garden which has a seaside feel to it and includes various decking areas, a covered pergola, a heated pool (Summer) approx. 20’x 11’ (depth of approx. 4’6”) and beach-house styled summerhouse fitted with cupboards and worktops, lighting and power, with a good quality pull-out sprung sofa bed for “sleeping out”! There is garden furniture provided and outside lighting both front and rear with a shingle drive providing parking for 2 vehicles and a large decking area at the front of the cottage for sitting and watching the sun setting over Camber Sands.
