I have a Master's degree in English with an emphasis in British Literature (hence, the library in my home).  I have always loved to read, study, and research.  I especially love to study scripture.  While in graduate school, I was the Editor-in Chief for the Astate English journal, Tributary, which won numerous awards from the Arkansas College Media Association including Journal of the Year and Editor of the Year.  

I worked at my alma mater for nearly 13 years before taking early retirement in Aug. 2020 due to health issues.  I live on a very modest monthly income due to my disabilities.

I began to experiment as an artist with oil pastels on the garage & fence in my backyard (photos in the "Cottage" section).  I added colored pencils, acrylic paints and pens to my supplies and began making art in sketchbooks, then on wood pieces given to me by a neighbor, then on canvas.

I love beautiful things...clothes, furniture, architecture, jewelry, fashion, makeup, music, and literature...I also love "fun" things.  I have a collection of fashionable sunglasses, gloves, fur coats, capes, jackets, costume jewelry, and lovely things in my home.  I also love flamingos, peacocks, and swans (beautiful birds) - you will see evidence of this in my home.  The ornate Baroque and Rococo styles are my favorites (think Marie Antoinette...).
