A Word About Art Pricing

If a 10 x 10 inch painting takes 4 hours to sketch and paint, and I price it at $20…please do the math – It’s about $5 an hour (less than minimum wage). Then, add in the cost of canvas, paint, paint brushes, pallets, embellishments, glue, the time it takes to prepare the canvas and let it dry (and cost of Gesso), tags for labeling & pricing, sealer, and hardware for hanging. My art is very inexpensive considering the time, effort, and materials that it took to produce it and well worth the $5.00 to $35.00 that you pay for it. Also, I do not charge sales tax, card processing fees, or Square card reader fees when selling at local art shows or vendor events. I absorb all of these fees for you. Online orders are charged 6.5% Arkansas state sales tax.
